Areas of interest
Dr. Jianping Huang specializes in numerical modeling study of air quality and meteorology. His research interests include tropospheric ozone, planetary boundary layer dynamics, interactions of aerosol radiative effect with the atmospheric boundary layer evolution, and air quality (e.g., surface O3 and PM2.5). He has successfully incorporated a gas-phase chemistry mechanism, CBMZ into WRF/Chem, coupled a land-surface model with a large-eddy simulation (LES) model, and applied advanced bias correction approaches to improve NOAA PM2.5 predictions for the USA.
